San Francisco Parent Political Action Committee Endorses David Chiu for Assembly

SAN FRANCISCO (May 19, 2014): Today The San Francisco Parent Political Action Committee (Parent PAC) announced our enthusiastic support for David Chiu’s campaign for the 17th Assembly District.

The Parent PAC expressed our support for David Chiu because of the strong leadership for families and kids that he has shown as President of the Board of Supervisors.  The Parent PAC considered Chiu’s first in the nation policy allowing parents and caregivers to request more flexible and predictable work schedules, his successful effort to allow strollers on Muni, and his support of the Beach Chalet Athletic Fields as just a few of the reasons why he stands out in this race.

The Parent PAC was founded by and for San Francisco parents and is committed to giving parents a voice in the political process to positively impact the lives of all San Francisco families.  The Parent PAC supports and promotes city candidates, measures and policies that will most effectively ensure high quality education for every child in every neighborhood, increase access to affordable youth programs that support working families and enrich the lives of our children and sustain healthy, safe and vibrant communities city-wide.

Michelle Parker, Co-founder of the Parent PAC said, “David Chiu is the only choice for San Francisco’s families. Chiu has worked tirelessly to make our city more affordable, safe and friendly for our parents and our kids. Unlike his opponent David Campos, Chiu has been a consistent and strong voice for us. Vote David Chiu for Assembly.”

The Parent PAC encourages its members to get involved in supporting David Chiu for Assembly by volunteering at the campaign office at 549 Castro St., calling campaign staff at (415) 846-8108, signing up to volunteer at and spreading the word to fellow San Francisco parents about the importance of this race.
