
Endorsements 2012
The San Francisco Parent Political Action Committee has endorsed candidates in Board of Education and Community College races for the November 2012 ballot, which are listed below. No endorsements were made in the District Supervisor races, but questionnaires were sent to every candidate. The ones that were received back are posted at the bottom of this page.
Board of Education: Sandra Fewer, Rachel Norton, Jill Wynns and Sam Rodriguez.
Community College: Rodrigo Santos, Steve Ngo and Amy Bacharach.
The SF Parent PAC has also taken positions on three ballot initiatives:
- YES on Prop B: Clean and Safe Neighborhood Parks Bond (San Francisco)
- YES on Prop 30: Statewide Schools and Local Public Safety Protection Act
- YES on Prop 38: Statewide Education Funding Initiative, Our Children Our Future
The process:
All Board of Education candidates who had pulled nomination papers from the SF Department of Elections by July 20, 2012 were sent a questionnaire to complete by August 3. All candidates who submitted questionnaires were invited to be interviewed by the SF Parent PAC Steering Committee on August 9. Board of Supervisors
Supervisor candidates from districts all over the city submitted questionnaires back to the Parent PAC to help you as you choose who will best represent you in your neighborhood. The questions are focused on families and quality of life issues. We hope this is helpful as you go through your decision making process.
