And for the original post announcing our process and endorsements for November 2014:
Yep – it’s already that time again! The Parent PAC recently invited all school board candidates to complete our questionnaire (it’s a bear, we know, but full of the things we really want to know!). All completed questionnaires were reviewed and candidates were invited to interview with our committee. There is such a great pool of candidates this year; it was difficult to narrow our decision down to three. We finally decided on the three we felt came with the best body of experience and knowledge to serve our students well for the next four years. Drum roll, please… we are proud to announce the San Francisco Parent Political Action Committee’s 2014 Endorsement for Board of Education: Emily Murase (incumbent), Mark Murphy, and Shamann Walton! You can read their questionnaires below, as well as all the other candidates who submitted.
Mark Murphy **
** designates candidates endorsed by the Parent PAC
Current candidates contacted, but who did not return questionnaires: Jamie Rafaela Wolfe, Hydra Mendoza
We have also endorsed three candidates for Community College Board:
Amy Bacharach (for the 2yr seat)
Rodrigo Santos (for a 4yr seat)
Thea Selby (for a 4yr seat)
For State Assembly:
